CommandShift3 is crazy, people don't look at the sites they look at the shoddy jpeg thumbnails. It should be renamed 'hot or not for web design thumbnails'.

I'm surprised that this hasn't won as much. Kottke.org is definitely one of my favorite designs.

This is one of my favorite sites, not just because of the content, but because the design fits the content so well.

It's interesting to see it lose more than half its battles here. May say something about the quick first impression on such a text-heavy site.
Basic markup (a,strong,em) is okay. URLs and Compuserve handles automatically linked.
